We have answered many questions over the years about the transport of vehicles and compiled a list of the most frequently asked questions (FAQ). This may serve as a guide to you for transporting your car with us.

The Vehicle is in Roadworthy and Running Condition by its own power. Meaning it can easily start with a key and drive up onto the vehicle carrier truck. All its mechanical and electronic functions are in good working order including wheels and tyres.

Non-Runner means the car is not in running condition and is in a poor mechanical condition. It may have engine problems or been in an accident. It cannot start or drive up onto a vehicle carrier. It requires extra assistance to push it up onto the vehicle carrier truck or a crane may be needed if it cannot move on its own wheels to load it onto the vehicle carrier truck.

Yes we do. We move non-runner vehicles from any city of South Africa to any other city in South Africa.

Leading time is the Working days it will take to transport a vehicle from point A to point B, excluding weekends [Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays]. We provide different pricing options for vehicle delivery lead times which are between 3-5-7-14-21 days. You may choose the best option suitable for you according to your budget and lead time requirements.

We do not allow any loose items, personal items, boxes, clothing, sunglasses in a vehicle. Items left inside the vehicle will be at your own responsibility and risk.

Do not leave any personal documentation such as your ID or vehicle registration documents in the vehicle, it will always be at your own responsibility and risk, we will not be liable for the loss of your Natis or personal documents.

If you are a Private client – You will have to arrange for your own insurance. It is best to consult with your insurance company. If the booking is made by a vehicle dealership in the case where you have purchased the vehicle, they will cover up to R600 000.00 however be sure to check with the vehicle dealership about insurance cover. The following categories are excluded from liability

  • Modified vehicles.
  • Sports and racing vehicles.
  • Lowered suspensions and low-profile tyres.

Yes, we do direct door to door collection from your place of residence which is our Gold Service. We also do Depot to Depot or Dealership to Dealership.

We have depots in each major city in South Africa. Johannesburg, Cape Town, Port Elizabeth and Kwa-Zulu Natal. You will have to self-deliver the vehicle to the Auto Movers International yard (depot in the departing city), and you will have to self-collect the vehicle from the Auto Movers International yard (depot in the arriving city). This depot to depot service is the most popular which is economical and affordable.

You can email, WhatsApp or call your support representative for updates on the movement of your vehicle.

Auto Movers International support representative will send you a notification to inform you that your vehicle is ready for collection at the arriving depot for you to self-collect your vehicle.

It may happen that our depot is far from your location to self drop your vehicle at our depot. In this case, you can make arrangements with a dealership in your area so that we may collect your vehicle from the dealership. It means we can collect from any vehicle dealership of your choice, based on position and availability, but arranged by yourself, and then deliver to any vehicle dealership on the same conditions above.

It depends on various factors, fuel costs and the availability of vehicle carries to and from these locations however we offer the best rates in the country for vehicle transportation service and always have specials on every route.

It depends on various factors at the time of looking for a quote to transport your vehicle. Influencing factors are the availability of the vehicle carrier trucks, the demand of services required as well as the fuel prices at the time.

Yes, our representatives will ensure an inspection Proof of Delivery slip is completed which will ensure the condition of the vehicle is fully recorded before transportation of the vehicle. You will receive a copy of the slip which must be sent to your sales representative.

This is when we do not have a depot in the provinces where you need to move your vehicle or collect your vehicle or when you are located far away from our depots. In this case we will make use of dealerships in the locations which you are in. You will make arrangements with the dealership manager with the guidance of our customer service representatives for your car to be collected from the dealership with our carrier truck or delivered to the dealership with our carrier truck. You will either sel-drop your vehicle at the dealership or self-collect it from the dealership which is a safe way to hand over your vehicle to us. We have used dealerships throughout the country at no extra charge. Dealership delivery/collection are suitable only for running vehicles.
