Terms And Conditions

    1. The client guarantees that he or she is the lawful owner of the vehicle or the legal representative to authorise the transportation of the vehicle. The client guarantees that all info provided is true and correct.
    2. The vehicle keys will be handed to an Auto Movers International representative at the point of departure.
    3. Delivery will be within the days from the day after which the vehicle was handed over to the depot, provided that full payment has been made by the customer.
      Note: Working days are Monday to Friday from 08.30 to 16:30 excluding Saturdays, Sundays & Public Holidays.
    4. A full payment is required to secure your booking for a Depot delivery service or the vehicle will not be accepted by the Depot.
    5. The full payment is required for a Dealership collection or the vehicle will not be planned for collection.
    6. All dealership arrangements for temporary holding of the vehicle for collection are for the client to arrange and provide to Auto Movers International with the dealership contact details, contact person and address. Leaving the vehicle at the dealership is at the clients own risk.
    7. The customer will be liable to pay any additional charge of R50 per day for each day beyond 2 day should a vehicle not be moved due to no fault of Auto Movers International.
    8. Auto Movers International does not cover vehicles for insurance while they are standing at the depot or during transit and delivery. Insurance cover must be taken out by the customer through their own insurance company for any risk, damages, scratches, dents or accident of the vehicle during transit. The vehicle is transferred at the customer's own risk. Please secure your own insurance cover and ensure that your vehicle is appropriately covered for any risks while it is in relocation transit.
    9. Liability for the following damages is specifically excluded:
      1. Electrical and mechanical defects and failures
      2. Damage to the undercarriage or valence of the vehicle where the vehicle suspension is 150mm or lower
      3. Stone chips, cracks and damage to windscreen, other glass surfaces or to the body of the vehicle
      4. Weather related phenomena such as but not limited to forces of nature, hail, wind, rivers or dams overflowing etc. This includes "Acts of God."
      5. Theft by third party, hijacks or collision where collision is due to the negligent or wilful action of a third party.
      6. Damages as a result of labour unrest, protest marches or stone throwing from the side of the road.
    10. The customer will provide Auto Movers International with the details of the person who is authorized to collect the vehicle at the point of delivery. The vehicle will only be released to the authorized person that you have provided with a valid identity.
    11. We will not be held liable for any loss as a result of delivery to an incorrect address where such an address was provided by the customer for delivery is incorrect or ambiguous. Ensure that the address is correct and precise.
    12. Client warrants that at the time of handling the vehicle over to depot or dealership all loose items and personal effects in the vehicle had been removed. We will not accept liability for the loss of or damage to such items. No personal effects and no prohibited and hazardous items or substances may be left in a vehicle to be transported.
    13. No deliveries or collections will be made in residential areas besides door to door deliveries where there is good access.
    14. Auto Movers International may subcontract your move out to our network of vehicle carriers located in most of the provinces in South Africa.
    15. If prior arrangements had been made for collection or delivery but not adhered to, and this causes a delay, We will recover costs as a result of the delay from the owner or dealer involved at a rate of R100 per hour. Our driver will not wait longer than 1 hour after which he will depart without loading/ offloading the vehicle.
    16. In the case of a vehicle for delivery, our driver will proceed to the nearest depot where the car/s will be offloaded. A subsequent move will entail further charges and storage charges per day of R100 will apply until the vehicle is collected from our depot or delivered.
    17. If the vehicle is not ready for collection onto a load and the trip can no longer be delayed, the driver will depart without the vehicle and the client will be held liable for the full contract price as if the vehicle had been moved.
    18. If we encounter a difficulty en route which gives cause to a delay (such as but not limited to roadworks, accidents, breakdowns, etc) we will inform the client accordingly.
    19. With valet services, we will ensure that a licensed driver is appointed to transfer the vehicle from your place of residence or location and drive it to the depot or dealership on your behalf. The valet service is uninsured. Please ensure that you have the appropriate insurance cover for your vehicle allowing 3rd party drivers to valet the vehicle and that you have notified your insurer with regards to the transit of your vehicle.
